Overview
The MediaTek Genio Pro 5100 is the first product in the new Genio Pro series that delivers an unparalleled level of compute, on-device GenAI, and multimedia performance for IoT and embedded applications. The Genio Pro 5100 continues MediaTek’s long track record of delivering low-power, advanced node SOCs, in-house NPU architectures, and industry-leading multimedia support. It offers incredible performance for applications like autonomous mobile robots, drones, edge AI devices, transportation, and logistics platforms.
Build on a leading-edge TSMC 3nm process, the Genio Pro 5100 integrates an Arm v9.2 architecture offering excellent single-core and multi-core compute capabilities. The 8th generation MediaTek NPU supports over 50 TOPS of system-level GenAI acceleration that can deliver over 23 tokens/sec for LLMs up to 7B parameters. The multimedia features include an Arm Immortalis-G925 GPU offering 3.1 TFLOPs, flexible camera interfaces enabling up to 16 cameras to be interfaced and rich display support for up to three, high-resolution 4K displays. These applications are further supported by a rich Linux software offering including Yocto, Debian and Ubuntu distributions, with ROS (Robot OS) framework support, industrial operating temperature, and a guaranteed 10-year supply commitment.
