Which Genio SoCs and boards are supported with MediaTek Android?

MediaTek Android supports all Genio SoCs. It is developed and validated on Genio EVKs.

How can I access MediaTek Android?

MediaTek Android is licensed software. A Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) and a Licensed Software Agreement (LSA) must be signed. Please contact MediaTek Sales Representatives or your Value-Added Reseller (VAR) for more information.

Do MediaTek Android and IoT Yocto share the same bootloader?

No. MediaTek Android on Genio uses Preloader (BL2) + LK (BL3), while IoT Yocto uses TF-A (BL2) + U-Boot (BL33).

Do MediaTek Android and IoT Yocto share the same kernel?

No. MediaTek Android uses the ACK kernel, while IoT Yocto uses the LTS kernel.

Does MediaTek Android support GMS?

Yes. MediaTek Android is designed to be compatible with GMS. You can obtain the GMS package directly from Google.

What are the differences between MediaTek Android and Google AOSP?
