Embedded World 2025: A Recap

We have just wrapped up one of the premier events in the world of IoT and embedded applications – the Embedded World Exhibition & Conference that took place in Nuremberg, Germany from March 11th to 13th, 2025. This is a leading international event attended by over 32,000 visitors from more than 80 different countries and featuring over 1,200 exhibitors from over 46 countries. MediaTek expanded our presence at the exhibition in 2025 to showcase some of our hardware and software technologies for IoT and embedded applications, as well as to meet with customers and partners in our growing IoT business.
Some of the highlights from the MediaTek presence at the Embedded World 2025 event were:
- Organized a press conference to announce our new Genio 720 & Genio 520 platforms for edge GenAI applications, with integrated capability for 10 TOPS of AI acceleration on device.
- Our partner, ADLINK, joined the press event to announce their new OSM (Open Standard Module) based on the Genio 520, the OSM-MTK520.
- Our software partner, Canonical, the company behind Ubuntu, also participated in the event and announced support for the EUs CRA (Cyber Resilience Act) on the new platforms, with preview images coming in early 2026.
- On the show floor, MediaTek showcased over 60 IoT and embedded products and demos for applications in smart retail, transportation, security, safety, automotive, and more.
- We showcased over 20 live AI-themed demos, including some that illustrated the power of our integration of the NVIDIA TAO (Train Adapt Optimize) AI algorithms ported and optimized for the Genio platforms, including on our latest Genio 720 and 520 platforms.
- Most exciting was also that our growing ecosystem of partners were also demonstrating MediaTek Genio and IoT products on their booths. These included Acrosser Technology, ADLINK, Advantech, Amobile, Ezurio, Grinn, Kontron, iBase, Qbit, Quectel, Rutronik, SECO, Vantron, Vecow and Winmate.
