Genio 360(P)-EVK

Genio 360(P)-EVK are the evaluation kits for the MediaTek Genio 360 SoC platform (MT8366 for Genio 360 and MT8367 for Genio 360P). The MT8366 and MT8367 SoCs share the same die and package, and the two EVKs share the same PCB design; only the assembled SoC part number differs. Both are collectively referred to as the Genio 360(P)-EVK in this document.

This section describes board features that are relevant to IoT Yocto.

    • MT6375 is a multi-function PMIC. IoT Yocto only supports the USB Type-C PD detection via RT1715.

Unsupported Board Features

  • MediaTek Charger (MT6375P/A)

    • The battery gauge and charging controller features are not supported. Customers must set the on-board jumper to route power through the RT1715 Type-C PD path; the MT6375 charger driver is not available in IoT Yocto.

  • LVDS x 1 (MUX)

    • As of IoT Yocto v26.0, the LVDS display interface is not supported on Genio 360(P)-EVK.

  • M.2 Slot Key B x 1 (Reserved for 5G Module Development)

  • Micro SIM x 1

  • Nano SIM x 1

FTDI Board Control

The Genio 360-EVK has a FTDI FT232RNL chip connected to the UART0 port via the USB Type-C debug connector (CN5101). You can use this port to read the SoC console log with a terminal emulator such as PuTTY at 921600 baud.

If the host PC does not recognise the device, install the FT232RNL driver from the FTDI website or use the MediaTek USB cable driver available on the Genio Developer Center.

Board Revision Note

IoT Yocto v26.0 only supports Genio 360 / 360P EVK P2V3. Earlier revisions P2V1 and P2V2 are not supported — the DSI display fails to bring up on those boards. Please stop using P2V1 / P2V2 for IoT Yocto development and testing, and confirm P2V3 availability at your site before requesting new EVKs.
