Introducing the Genio Pro 5100: Extreme Compute and Multimedia Unleashing the Full Potential of AI
On March 10th, 2026, at the Embedded World exhibition and conference in Nuremberg, we announced a major new segment of our Genio roadmap – the Genio Pro series that brings flagship-class AI and computing performance to highly demanding industrial IoT applications such as robotics, drones, machine vision systems, and other edge AI devices.
The Genio Pro 5100 is the first member of this new Genio Pro series and delivers massive performance boosts compared to the existing Genio products. Specifically, it delivers a 3.2x performance lift on computing combined with a 5x performance boost for GPU and AI compared to the Genio 720 that was launched at Embedded World in 2025.
The Genio Pro 5100 supports powerful on-device generative AI with an 8th generation MediaTek NPU that offers over 50 TOPS capability. This architecture achieves token generation rates of up to 23 tokens/sec for large language models with up to 7 billion parameters. The platform is designed to handle demanding real-time workloads where responsiveness, reliability, security, and data privacy at the edge are essential.

Built on an advanced 3nm process, the Genio Pro 5100 integrates an all-big-core octa-core CPU based on the latest Arm v9.2 architecture, delivering up to 260K DMIPS. The CPU architecture consists of a single Arm Cortex-X925 combined with 3x Arm Cortex-X4 and 4x Arm Cortex-A720 cores. Graphics performance is enabled by a powerful Arm Immortalis-G925 MC11 GPU that provides up to 3.1 TFLOPS of GPU compute.
To support demanding applications, the platform supports up to 16 camera streams, up to three 4K displays, and 8K video encoding and decoding, making it well suited for sensor-rich and multimedia-intensive systems. Multi-OS support is provided with Yocto Linux, Debian and Ubuntu distributions and the ROS (Robot OS) framework is also supported.
System expansion is supported via a rich I/O configuration consisting of multiple PCIe, USB and dual 2.5GbE MAC interfaces combined with multiple standard UART, I2C, I3C interfaces. Industrial grade applications are enabled with support for discrete LPDDR5x memory, allowing for easier manufacturability and reliability as well as industrial temperature range (-40°C to +105°C) and 10-year supply longevity guaranteed.
